Repair kit for the Dell'Orto PHF carburettor bushings (rigid mounting). The plastic bushings with a flat between carburettor and intake manifold (female-fitting PHF) are no longer available from Dell'Orto; their wear or breakage creates air leaks. This JLO-Tech kit includes a new Dell'Orto plastic bushing without the flat and a special sealing ring that fits between the carburettor and the bushing.

Fitting

  1. Remove the old plastic bushings. Clean the carburettor bores and smooth out any burrs. Apply a very thin layer of silicone grease to the bores.
  2. Carefully cut the new bushings along the line on their outer circumference. Lightly grease (silicone) the manifold seats and the bores. If necessary, adjust the outer diameter of the bushings with sandpaper until they enter the carburettors and the manifolds fit slightly tight — the whole assembly must be "tight" to prevent air leaks.
  3. Insert the Dell'Orto rubber seals fully to the bottom of the bore, flat side facing inward.
  4. Insert the bushings until they slightly compress the rubber seals.
  5. Refit the intake manifolds until they seat into the shoulder of the rubber seal.
