Fitting the exhaust flanges

Fitting the exhaust flanges. They come in two versions: cast like the original, or CNC-machined from solid for greater strength.

  • For the cast flanges, to avoid any risk of cracking, it is essential to check that they bear flat on the exhaust gaskets. This matters especially on the triples if the pipes are misaligned, or on any model with poorly made reproduction pipes.
  • When everything is correct and well aligned, moderate tightening is more than enough to seal, with a light re-tighten after 50 km.
