Fitting the rearset kit — Laverda 1000 and 1200.
- Remove the original footpegs.
- Remove the brake pedal and gear lever.
- Stick a piece of insulating tape on the rearset half-plates to protect the frame.
- Fit the half-plates, holding them with the small countersunk M6 screw, not tightened at this stage.
- Grease the rearset pins and bushes. Refit the parts in order, not forgetting the washers.
- Mount the rearsets on the half-plates. Firmly tighten the 17 mm Nyloc nut (on the left side, a cranked open spanner reaches the nut without removing the brake-pedal linkage).
- Fit the linkages then the connecting rods, and set the rod length to your preference. Recheck that all fasteners are tight.
- Test both controls before any road test.
