Replacing the float needles of the Dell'Orto PHF carburettors is a simple operation, but one that calls for a few precautions:
- Always work in a clean environment to prevent any dirt from entering the fuel circuit.
- Take advantage of removing the old needle to blow out and clean the fuel circuit with compressed air.
- Be sure to remove the fibre washer of the old needle and gently clean the sealing face before fitting the new washer and needle. This is a common mistake that leads to an incorrect float level.
